Now we have a mass of happenings and events under the umbrella of culinary customs in common with the Slav world. Because our cultural areas are near. Romania, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Russia. This is not an in depth analysis, but a puzzle made clearer.
For example: for some years on the Romanian market are sold candies and sweets from Bucuria, a factory from Kishinev, Republic of Moldova. It plays not only on quality, but on a line of products which are long gone from Romania, expelled by multinationals. Sweets under Bucuria brand are a continuation a confectionery industry from old communist times, but evoluated under modern auspices. An article about Bucuria, here.
Then, there is the Ost Markt, the shop in Bucharest, Tineretului area, of which I have wrote and article here. Probably many more have written about this shop. With food products from Russian food industry, made for export for the German market. It seems that guys owning the place are from Republic of Moldova.
After this comes "Garaj" a place with a mix of products from Ukraine, Republic of Moldova, Russia. What is unfair to consumer is that they play the Bessarabian melody, which is a lie.
Here it comes in the picture Slav Shop Berezka, recently opened the 2nd shop in Bucharest. It offers the largest palette of Russian food products. Letting apart the problems which arise from the food industry production, it deserves a visit and pick-up.
